The Story

pay.com.au lets Australian businesses pay anything by card, earn rewards on spend they couldn't earn before, and unlock working capital. It's a genuinely useful product that solves a real problem, and it's growing fast across Australia and the US.

They're now building the growth infrastructure to match their ambition, and this is a role that is a key part of it.

The Role

You own the conversion engine. Registration, onboarding, activation, referral — all yours. Your job is to get businesses from sign-up to first transaction, then build the loops that make the platform spread on its own.

This is a proper product-led growth (PLG) mandate, not a feature team gig. You'll work across Product, Design, Engineering, Marketing, and RevOps, with direct access to the Chairman and exec team.

Concretely, you'll own...

  • Referral & virality: turn customers into a distribution channel
  • PLG strategy: decide where product replaces or amplifies sales and marketing
  • Onboarding & activation: cut friction, lift completion, shorten time to value.

And day-to-day you'll be setting the growth roadmap, running experiments, instrumenting the funnel, and telling the story with data to the exec team.

What You Bring to the Role

  • Experience in product, with real ownership of growth or PLG at a B2B SaaS or fintech, as well as early-stage or scaling organisations (ideally)
  • A track record of moving activation and conversion metrics — not just shipping features
  • You instrument first, decide from data, and build the model before the feature
  • You've built referral or viral loops that actually drove acquisition
  • Direct, outcome-oriented — you lead with the answer and own the result.

Bonus if you've got payments, rewards, or loyalty experience — but not essential.

What's In It For You

  • Real ownership of a commercial outcome — this is not a 'support the roadmap' role
  • Direct exec exposure — your work lands in front of the Chairman regularly
  • A product people actually like, in a company that's actually growing
  • Serious runway — two markets, strong backing, big vision.

Next Steps? If building growth loops and owning funnels is your thing, apply and say hi!
