Location: Melbourne CBD

Rates: $850/day + Super

Role

The Training Consultant will be responsible for managing the end-to-end training lifecycle, including training needs analysis, learning design, content development, and training evaluation for the ADMS (electricity grid) program that’s basically in the final stages.

Accountabilities

  • The current Training Lead is moving on, so the client need someone who can come in at that level and run with it. They’ll report into the Change Lead.
  • Consult with the project team and key stakeholders to define the content scope, key impacted audiences, business objectives, success criteria and key milestone checkpoints
  • Collaborate with business subject matter experts (SMEs) and the project teams throughout all stages of the project, including the facilitation of workshops where required
  • Complete training needs assessment and role-based training design
  • Develop the user support and training artefacts, or work with/manage external vendors in delivering the artefacts
  • Solid experience in instructional design, including conducting and interpreting training needs analysis and learning plans to develop training material
  • Experience in technical writing and end-user documentation across multiple learning levels
  • Proficiency in developing digital learning materials, including animation, video, graphical content, voice overs and other digital and print resources for eLearning, webinar and face-to-face content

What you'll need to succeed

  • 15+ years of experience as a Senior Training Consultant/Instructional Designer.
  • Ideally utilities background.
  • Exposure to ADMS / GE suite / similar grid tech
  • Someone who’s worked in mature, complex programs
  • SAP / ERP exposure helpful just to handle the complexity
  • Main thing, we need someone who can step in with minimal handover and just own it.
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills, including articulation of complex IT concepts
  • Strong ability to analyse process and system impact data to develop role-based competency training
