Your new role

As an RF Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, simulation, testing, and documentation of advanced RF and microwave components and systems. Working within a highly skilled RF group, you'll collaborate closely with engineering, production, and defence‑focused teams to deliver high‑quality, reliable solutions.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing and simulating RF/microwave hardware from component to module level
• Selecting components that balance performance, cost, and availability
• Working with RF and mechanical teams to meet design objectives
• Producing accurate BOMs and high‑quality manufacturing documentation
• Leading prototype builds, testing, troubleshooting, and design verification
• Conducting EMI/EMC, environmental, and reliability testing
• Managing test schedules, writing test plans, procedures, and performance reports
• Building test jigs and developing test software
• Supporting the development of new IP, concepts, and product innovations
• Ensuring compliance with quality, WHS, and engineering standards
• Contributing to a respectful, collaborative, and high‑performance workplace

This is a hands‑on, technically rich role with excellent autonomy and the chance to influence real engineering outcomes.

What you'll need to succeed

You're an experienced RF or microwave engineer who thrives in a fast‑paced, innovative environment. You enjoy solving complex technical problems, working collaboratively, and seeing your designs come to life.

You will bring:

• Australian Citizenship
• Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
• Must have experience in RF hardware design
• Knowledge of RF principles, PCB design, and EMI minimisation
• Experience with RF design tools (ADS, Genesys)
• Proficiency with RF test equipment (VNA, spectrum analyser, power meter, etc.)
• Experience using Altium
• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
• Eligibility for an Australian Defence Security Clearance (baseline minimum)
• Experience with satellite communications or system‑level electronics design is highly regarded.
