Job Purpose

This role supports the execution and delivery of licensing programs for BBC Studios brands across ANZ, contributing to revenue growth and partner success across key categories including Hardlines, Softlines, FMCG, Home & Living, and Social Expressions. As a Licensing Executive, you will play a key role in coordinating licensing activity, while taking ownership of selected partners, categories, and projects, ensuring seamless execution of day-to-day operations.

Working closely with the Senior Licensing Manager, you will assist in identifying product opportunities, preparing commercial materials, and supporting go-to-market initiatives, while independently managing defined workstreams and delivering against agreed commercial objectives. You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure licensing programs are delivered efficiently and in line with brand and commercial objectives.

We’re seeking a proactive and detail-oriented team player with a strong interest in licensing and consumer products. This role is ideal for someone looking to build their experience in a fast-paced commercial environment while progressively taking on greater ownership of partner relationships and commercial initiatives.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Licensing & Commercial Support

Support the Senior Licensing Manager in executing category-led licensing strategies and delivering against revenue targets.

Own and manage selected licensing projects or smaller categories, delivering against agreed objectives and timelines.

Assist in identifying new product opportunities and maintaining awareness of market and category trends.

Prepare commercial materials including pitch decks, presentations, and product updates for internal and external use.

Support and contribute to the development of licensing proposals and partner pitches, with increasing ownership of content.

Partner & Account Coordination

Maintain day-to-day communication with licensees and retail partners, acting as a key point of contact for selected accounts.

Own the ongoing management of assigned partners, ensuring consistent communication, issue resolution, and delivery against plans.

Coordinate partner onboarding, product submissions, and ongoing communications.

Assist in organising and preparing for partner meetings, business reviews, and trade events.

Track partner performance and proactively highlight risks and opportunities to the Senior Licensing Manager.

Financial & Reporting Support

Assist in tracking licensing revenue, royalty reporting, and invoicing processes.

Take ownership of reporting for assigned partners or categories, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.

Support the preparation of regular reports, including sales updates and performance summaries.

Maintain accurate records of licensing agreements, deal terms, and financial data.

Conduct competitor and retail analysis to support strategic decision-making and identify growth opportunities.

Product Development & Go-to-Market Coordination

Manage product approval workflows for assigned partners, ensuring submissions are completed accurately and on time.

Support licensees in delivering product ranges aligned to brand guidelines and commercial objectives.

Assist in the rollout of go-to-market plans, working with marketing and retail teams.

Take a proactive role in monitoring launches and suggesting optimisation opportunities based on performance and market feedback.

Track product lifecycles and highlight opportunities for extensions or improvements.

Operational Excellence

Support the administration of licensing agreements, contracts, and approval workflows.

Ensure documentation, timelines, and internal systems are kept up to date and accurate.

Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support efficient execution of licensing programs.

Drive efficiency in processes and suggest improvements to ways of working.

Ensure all activities align with BBC Studios policies, brand guidelines, and compliance requirements.

Professional Experience

2–4 years’ experience in licensing, consumer products, marketing, sales, or account coordination roles.

Exposure to retail, brand, or media environments advantageous.

Experience supporting and owning elements of projects, campaigns, or commercial programs.

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively while managing individual responsibilities to a high standard.

Scope & Impact

Ownership of selected partners, projects, or product categories, contributing directly to commercial outcomes.

Provides operational and coordination support across key licensing categories and partners.

Works closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth execution.
