The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced
CHPP Maintenance Technician – Equipment Inspector (Electrical) to help drive the reliability and performance of our Coal Handling and Preparation Plant (CHPP).
Working closely with maintenance, planning and engineering teams, you’ll inspect electrical and instrumentation assets, develop work scopes and ensure maintenance activities are planned and delivered safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Inspect electrical and instrumentation assets and identify defects.
- Develop work scopes from inspections, condition monitoring and engineering recommendations.
- Ensure maintenance work is planned, documented and ready for execution.
- Support shutdown planning, scheduling and work coordination.
- Provide technical support for repairs, modification and reliability improvements.
- Review completed work to ensure it meets site standards.
- Assist with risk assessments, root cause analysis (RCA) investigation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare change management documentation and materials requests.
- Work closely with engineering teams, contractors and suppliers to improve plant reliability.
- Provide support across other equipment inspector roles when required.
Qualifications And Experience
- Electrical trade qualification.
- CHPP and/or infrastructure maintenance experience.
- Experience preparing work scopes and supporting maintenance planning.
- Experience using CMMS systems (Pulse or similar).
- Knowledge of relevant Australian Standards.
- Strong planning, organisation and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- The ability to work independently and build strong working relationships.
- A strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
