Electrician

We are looking for qualified Electricians to join our team in Port Macquarie, NSW. These are casual positions, supporting project-based work at our shipyard.

Key Accountabilities

• Safety and Environment planning and execution for the project work
• Planning, co-ordination and execution of production electrical resources
• Role modelling of acceptable workplace behaviours consistent with Birdon’s Code of Conduct and values
• Meeting Quality outcomes
• Electrical work on-board vessels and in workshops, supporting site operations
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, as well as vessel drawings/schematics
• Active participation in daily toolbox talks

• Commitment to project completion goals

Qualifications / Skills / Experience

Essential

• Australian recognised Electrical Trade Certificate
• Relevant Trade experience
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Basic computer skills
• A nationally accredited OHS Card (White Card)

• Service-oriented team player with a “make it happen safely” attitude

Desirable

• Experience working in Marine Industry
