THE OPPORTUNITY

Driscoll's Australia has an exciting opportunity for a Leading Hand to join our growing warehousing team at our new Distribution Centre in Bundaberg. In this role, you will work closely with the DC Manger and Quality Control team to support the smooth and efficient day-to-day operation of the warehouse. You will play a key role in supervising warehouse operators, particularly across the receipt and dispatch of fruit, while providing clear direction and guidance on warehouse processes and protocols. As a trusted support to the warehouse team, you will partner with the DC Manager to ensure consistent 7-day supervision and the ongoing smooth, efficient operation of the warehouse.

Some of your key duties in this role will extend to:

• Supporting daily operational preparation and planning
• Assisting the DC Manager in the day-to-day running of the rise and operation
• Ensuring stock is received chilled, and ready for dispatch
• Receipting all deliveries into internal systems, and invoicing all daily consignments
• Conducting nightly stocktakes
• Receiving product on the floor, and ensuring it is ready for QC inspection and chilling
• Liaising with growers and transport providers on a daily basis to ensure flow of products
• Assisting in the continual updating of CHEP pallet count and distribution
• Supporting the QC team as required

ABOUT YOU

To be considered for this opportunity, applicants will need to demonstrate the following:

• Previous experience in logistics, warehousing, or cold-chain operations is highly desirable
• Demonstrated experience in supervising and training small teams
• Ability to work within inventory management systems and Microsoft Suite
• Valid forklift licence
• Unrestricted Australian working rights
• Availability to work on a rotating roster (1 weekend on, 1 weekend off)
