This is an opportunity to join our expanding team of highly experienced and passionate people who want to make Australia a better place.

The Role

Better Place Australia has been funded to deliver the Hospital Outreach Post-Suicidal Engagement (HOPE) Suicide Prevention Psychosocial Program in the Dandenong region – a non clinical assertive outreach model focused on empowering people to connect with informal and formal supports by providing guidance, encouragement, motivation and follow up.

The model of care is based on the Beyond Blue training for support coordinators that work with people who have presented with a suicidal or self-harm attempt, suicide or intentional self-harm ideation and working with Monash Health Dandenong Hospital. Engagement with clients will include centre based and outreach to support clients for up to 12 weeks and targets those at the highest risk through referrals following hospital presentations or through specialist mental health services.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team of highly experienced and passionate support coordinators. The Program Coordinator role is responsible for the overall management of both operational and casework/clinical supervision of the HOPE Psychosocial team that works out of the Narre Warren site.
