We are currently recruiting for multiple

Casual Enrolled Nurse positions, offering flexible working hours and the opportunity to work across our Medical, Surgical and Rehabilitation Units. We are seeking nurses who are adaptable, team-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality patient care. You will become an integral member of a nursing team, providing holistic patient care in collaboration with our medical professionals and the allied health teams for patients at St John of God Berwick, their families and significant others.This care will be guided by a working knowledge of hospital policies, including OH&S, Infection Control, Waste management and Quality Improvement.

The Position

  • Works in consultation and co-operation with other care team members to provide care according to the physical and emotional needs of the patient and their families.
  • Assist in the planning, implementation and evaluation of the day to day mental health and basic physical care requirements of patients.
  • Participate in patient assessments, including mental health, risk assessment and management, history taking and developing comprehensive nursing
  • care plans. Ensuring risks are documented and appropriate interventions, referrals are facilitated.
  • Administer medication within scope of the Enrolled Nurse classification and in accordance with statutory and organisational guidelines under the direct or indirect supervision of the Registered Nurse.
  • Advise and educate patients regarding treatment and recovery in relevant specialty.

You will have a registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as Enrolled Nurse and have a minimum of 12 months recent experience in an acute care setting (excluding any placement hours) working across medical and/ or surgical units.

An understanding of rehabilitation nursing in addition to Medical and/ or Surgical experience will be well regarded. You will demonstrate a commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction, along with well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills.

To succeed you will have an ability to work effectively and harmoniously within the multi-disciplinary health care team, with a commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
