Are you ready for a hands-on role in a great team environment? As an Evaporator Operator at Wilmar Sugar & Renewables, you'll be responsible for operating the clarifier, mud filters and evaporators (and all related equipment). This role works closely with other members of the shift team and Mill management, and is a crucial link between multiple operating stations within the sugar milling process.

This permanent position is based at Plane Creek Mill in Sarina. Located in North Queensland, Sarina offers a laid-back lifestyle, with stunning beaches and exciting outdoor adventures right at your doorstep. Whether you're into hiking, water sports, or just chilling by the beach, Sarina has it all waiting for you.

During the crushing, this position operates on a continuous rotating shift roster, which may include weekends and occasional overtime. Once the crushing is complete and the Mill enters the maintenance period, the role switches to a day work schedule.

Your Role in Action

• Smooth Operator: Monitor the Juice Circuit (including but not limited to Juice Heaters, Clarifiers, Filters, Evaporators and associated equipment) to ensure crushing of the cane is efficient and productive.
• Collaboration Crew: Work closely with the shift team to keep operations running smoothly and safely.
• Clear & Concise: Provide regular and accurate feedback to Mill management on station performance and quality issues.
• Safety Guardian: Show a strong commitment to safety.

Your Winning Combination

The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate an ability and willingness to obtain relevant role competencies such as Working Safely at Height, Confined Space Entry and Rigger, Dogger and Scaffolder High Risk Work Licences. Experience in the sugar industry is advantageous.
