Senior Interior Designer

Aurex Group are partnering with a specialist commercial consultancy to identify an experienced designer who excels in shaping early-stage concepts and leading client-facing design conversations. The Role

Reporting to the Design Director, you will play a key role in the front-end of the design process, leading concept development through to schematic stages while acting as a primary point of contact for clients. You will help define the creative direction of projects, guide clients through the design journey, and ensure that workplace strategies are translated into compelling, high-quality design solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead client engagements, facilitating workshops, presentations, and design discussions to define project vision and objectives.
  • Translate client briefs, business needs, and organisational culture into innovative workplace concepts.
  • Develop and present design concepts, mood boards, and spatial strategies with clarity and confidence.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the early design stages.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment from concept through to delivery phases.
  • Guide design intent and ensure continuity as projects transition into later technical stages.
  • Contribute to a collaborative studio culture, working alongside global teams to deliver cohesive design narratives.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6+ years’ experience in interior design, with a strong focus on front-end design stages in commercial interiors.
  • Proven experience delivering commercial workplace or corporate office projects, particularly in concept and schematic design.
  • Demonstrated strength in client-facing roles, with the ability to lead conversations and influence decision-making.
  • Strong design sensibility with the ability to translate strategy into impactful spatial solutions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to build lasting relationships across clients, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams.
