About the role

Due to an ever increasing portfolio of work, they are now looking for a highly talented, commercial and strategic senior legal counsel to step into a newly created opportunity. Working alongside senior executives, you will work on high impact projects in a role which will challenge your legal and commercial acumen as you partner closely with the business.

You will:

  • Work alongside commercial and technical specialists in the bid teams and estimators as a core contributor to how projects are shaped, priced and pursued
  • Run legal and commercial strategy on tenders providing expert guidance on contract structures, risk allocation and negotiation positions
  • Assist with winning major projects by bringing strategic thinking and commercial acumen to high-value opportunities that shape the organisation’s pipeline and reinforce its reputation as a national industry leader.
  • Enjoy genuine breadth of involvement across the full project lifecycle; from early front-end strategy and bid pursuits through to delivery thus giving you full visibility and impact at every stage of the project.

About you

This role will suit someone who is looking for a fast-paced environment, enjoys being across the entire project lifecycle and comfortable operating in ambiguity.

The successful individual will possess:

  • Minimum of 7 years PQE
  • Strong in-house front-end construction experience
  • Superior commercial and strategic acumen which you've used to deliver impressive results
  • Proactive, solution focussed and pragmatic mindset
  • Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills
