What work will you do?

In addition to what is mentioned above, you will:

• Advise on complex competition law matters and Australian Consumer Law issues.
• Provide strategic advice on marketing campaigns, customer propositions and advertising initiatives.
• Advise on product safety and broader consumer regulatory obligations.
• Support the business in managing regulatory investigations and consumer complaints.
• Monitor legislative developments and provide commercially focused regulatory advice.
• Partner closely with senior stakeholders across multiple business functions on strategic projects.

What type of person will be successful?

• Admitted as a solicitor in Australia.
• Approximately 2-4 years' PQE.
• Strong competition and consumer law experience gained at a leading national or top-tier law firm, or within a recognised specialist in-house legal team.
• Excellent technical competition law skills. This role requires someone with genuine expertise in competition and consumer law rather than a general commercial lawyer with limited exposure.
• Strong commercial judgement and the ability to provide practical, solutions-focused advice.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A proactive approach and genuine interest in building a long-term career as a specialist competition and consumer lawyer.
