(www.protecnium.com/en). We are currently seeking a Senior Construction Manager to join our team on a Healthcare Infrastructure Project in Perth.

  • Location: Perth (100% On-site).
  • Estimated Duration: 36 months- In general, when the project ends, we try to relocate the employee to other projects to ensure continuity.
  • Summary: The Senior Construction Manager is responsible for leading the successful delivery of major healthcare infrastructure projects throughout the construction, commissioning and handover phases. The role provides strategic leadership across all construction activities, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and in accordance with quality and operational requirements. Working closely with government representatives, healthcare operators, clinical user groups, consultants and contractors, the Senior Construction Manager plays a key role in managing stakeholder expectations, resolving complex delivery challenges and ensuring readiness for hospital operations and occupancy
  • Lead and oversee all construction activities from mobilisation through to commissioning and project handover.
  • Drive project delivery outcomes relating to safety, quality, programme, cost and operational readiness.
  • Manage construction teams, contractors and key project stakeholders to ensure effective coordination across all work fronts.
  • Monitor construction progress and implement mitigation strategies to address emerging risks and delivery challenges.
  • Oversee contractor performance, productivity and compliance with project requirements. Coordinate interfaces between construction, engineering, commissioning and operational readiness teams.
  • Engage with government agencies, healthcare authorities, hospital operators and clinical user groups to ensure project objectives and operational requirements are achieved.
  • Lead the management of construction-related changes, technical issues and stakeholder requests. Ensure compliance with relevant Australian standards, healthcare design guidelines, statutory requirements and project governance frameworks.
  • Support commissioning, transition and handover activities to ensure successful integration into hospital operations.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring and direction to project delivery teams while fostering a high-performance project culture.
  • Degree qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience delivering major building or infrastructure projects, including significant experience in healthcare facilities.
  • Demonstrated experience leading the construction phase of large-scale hospital developments or complex healthcare projects.
  • Strong understanding of hospital operational requirements, commissioning processes and stakeholder management within healthcare environments.
  • Proven experience working with government clients, health authorities and multidisciplinary project teams in Australia.
  • Extensive knowledge of Australian construction practices, contract delivery models and statutory compliance requirements.
  • Strong leadership, commercial, stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience managing large contractor workforces and complex project interfaces during construction and project handover.

-Working Hours: Monday to Friday-40 hours weekly- depends on project demands-
