Network Engineer - OT

Network Engineer (OT/Industrial Networks) | Perth, WA | 6+ Month Contract

Akkodis is seeking two experienced Network Engineers to join a major project supporting critical mining operations across Perth. The successful candidates will play a key role in the end-to-end delivery of complex network infrastructure projects, working closely with client stakeholders, vendors, and security teams. The role requires strong Operational Technology (OT) networking experience and the ability to work independently in a mining environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather business and technical requirements from stakeholders.
• Develop network designs, including Low-Level Designs (LLDs) and Bill of Materials (BoM).
• Deliver end-to-end network engineering activities including intake, triage, design, build, testing, and implementation.
• Work closely with the client's security team to coordinate security-related requirements and activities.
• Manage vendor engagement and coordinate field-based implementation activities.
• Support network upgrades, deployments, and operational improvements across multiple sites.

Technical Skills Required

• Strong experience across multiple network domains:
  • LAN (Switching, Routing, VLANs)
  • WAN / SD-WAN / MPLS
  • Wireless & SOHO Networks
  • LTE / 5G / RF Networks
  • Satellite & Remote Site Connectivity
  • OT / Industrial Networks (Production Systems)
• Experience producing technical design documentation and implementation plans.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work autonomously in complex enterprise and industrial environments.

Highly Desirable

• Previous experience within Mining, Resources, or Industrial Operations environments.
• Experience supporting remote operations and site-based network deployments.
• Exposure to OT/IT integration projects and industrial network environments.

Location & Travel

Perth, WA (Primary Location)

Frequent travel to site operations as required.

Contract Duration

Initial 6-month contract with strong potential for extension.
