PEER, in partnership with the Commonwealth and South Australian Governments and TAFE SA, is offering an exciting pathway into Australia’s growing defence and shipbuilding industry through the Shipbuilding Employment Pathways (SEP) Initiative.
This is your chance to build a career working on projects supporting Australia’s naval shipbuilding and submarine programs — while gaining nationally recognised qualifications and real defence industry experience.
What You’ll Do
As an Engineering Fabrication Apprentice (Boilermaker / Welder), you’ll learn how to:
Fabricate and weld metal components
Read technical drawings and plans
Use industry-standard tools and equipment
Work alongside leading defence industry employers
Build practical, in-demand trade skills

PEER is a non-profit Group Training Organisation (GTO) and award-winning Registered Training Organisation (RTO), delivering nationally accredited training and employing South Australia’s largest building and construction apprentice workforce.
