The Role

Reporting to the General Counsel, this is a broad commercial role offering exposure across general commercial contracts, property and major construction and infrastructure projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements, including services agreements, procurement contracts, consultancy agreements, technology contracts and other strategic commercial arrangements.
  • Advising on property matters, including leasing, licensing, development agreements and broader property transactions.
  • Providing legal support across capital works and infrastructure projects, including procurement, contract negotiation, contract administration, variations, claims and dispute avoidance.
  • Advising on governance, regulatory compliance and operational legal matters across the business.
  • Managing external legal advisers where appropriate.
  • Partnering with senior stakeholders to deliver practical, commercially focused legal advice that supports strategic business objectives.

The Candidate

The successful candidate will be a talented lawyer with approximately 4–8 years' PAE, gained within a well-regarded law firm or an in-house legal team.

You will have experience in construction, infrastructure, commercial and/or property law, together with:

  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills across a broad range of commercial contracts.
  • Exposure to construction projects, property transactions or complex commercial arrangements.
  • Commercial acumen and the ability to provide pragmatic, solutions-focused legal advice.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to partner effectively across technical, operational and executive teams.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, together with a collaborative and proactive approach.
