Production Assistant

Role Description: The Production Assistant role is a full-time, on-site position based at LUSH’s manufacturing facility in Sydney, NSW. This role involves supporting the hand-making of fresh cosmetics, including preparing ingredients, following production recipes, and assisting with shaping, pouring, pressing and product assembly. The Production Assistant helps maintain quality standards by checking product appearance, consistency, and labelling, and ensuring work areas meet hygiene, safety, and cleanliness requirements. The role also includes cooperating with team members to meet production timelines and handling the packaging of products. The position requires reliability, attention to detail, and a commitment to LUSH’s ethical and sustainability values.

• Production Assistance skills, including an understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control and safety procedures.
• Strong Teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate in a fast-paced environment and support colleagues across shifts and departments.
• Good physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work safely with equipment.
• Attention to detail, time management, and reliability in meeting production targets and maintaining quality.
• Previous experience in cosmetics, food production, or a similar manufacturing environment is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Willingness to learn about LUSH’s products, ethics, and sustainability practices and to follow all health and safety guidelines.
