The opportunity
As a Planner you will report into the Lead Planner and work across one of our water and wastewater programs in the Energy & Utilities Business. Responsible for preparing, maintaining and monitoring schedules for the program and projects delivered by the program.
This full-time permanent role and will be based out of our client’s office in Mango Hill with on-site parking available.
What you’ll do
Prepare resource and cost loaded detailed project delivery schedules, for allocated projects/work packages, using past construction knowledge and experience that accurately reflect the conditions of the contract, design and specifications.
Maintain and update the project master schedule, where applicable, incorporating subcontract schedules, to ensure appropriate execution of work package plans are completed as required.
Ensure compliance with Downer’s standards and requirements as set by Utilities Performance Commercial & Risk Team, in terms of Schedule Quality and Change Management.
Perform delay analysis as needed by the Contract and support with suitable narrative.
Manage/ undertake, review and analysis of sub-contractor schedules to confirm alignment with good scheduling practice and Downer standards and requirements.
Assist in the development of project practices and procedures.
Undertake reporting requirements of internal and external stakeholders.

What we’re looking for
Tertiary qualification – Degree or equivalent desirable in Engineering, Business Management, or Project Management preferred
5-10 years’ planning experience
Previous commercial experience planning and scheduling for small and large projects using Primavera P6 (essential), Microsoft Project and associated systems
Excellent knowledge and understanding of CPM scheduling concepts and delay analysis techniques (essential)
Advanced Excel Skills (essential)
A Project Management certification –Desirable
Oracle DB qualifications –Desirable
Risk Management - Desirable
