Could you be our next Project Procurement Manager, playing a key role in delivering some of Australia's most significant infrastructure projects from our Melbourne CBD or Milton, Brisbane offices?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your procurement and supply chain management expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and dynamic team members.

You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring suppliers' Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) performances align with project objectives, driving the success of complex and impactful initiatives. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams across the business (Project Management, Legal, Sub-System Managers, Procurement Teams), define and implement the Project Procurement strategy, and orchestrate contract creation and execution activities, ensuring compliance and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle, and much more.

We’ll look to you for

  • Acting as the main interface between the project team and procurement.

  • Defining the Project Procurement strategy in collaboration with the Procurement Platform Director (PPLD) and translating it into a Project Procurement Management Plan approved by key stakeholders.

  • Coordinating, consolidating, and securing Procurement activities, performance, and efficiency across the entire project.

  • Securing QCD Procurement Commitment at project start, ensuring alignment with tender phase objectives, and communicating these commitments to SSMs and Procurement Teams.

  • Overseeing supplier progress, identifying challenges and risks, and implementing corrective measures in collaboration with Procurement and SSMs.

  • Orchestrating contract creation and execution activities, ensuring compliance with project requirements and proactively addressing risks to avoid claim situations.

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Experience or understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and contract negotiation.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Adaptability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, and multicultural environment.

Things you’ll enjoy

Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

  • Collaborate with transverse teams and helpful colleagues.

  • Progress towards becoming a key leader in driving procurement excellence and strategic supplier partnerships.

  • Contribute to innovative projects.

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
