We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team on an 8/6 roster at our Laverton Processing Plant.
As Maintenance Manager, working a 8/6 roster at the Laverton Processing Plant you will lead and manage all fixed plant maintenance activities to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of the gold processing plant, while achieving production, availability, and performance targets.
Your key responsibilities will include
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve maintenance strategies, including preventive, predictive, condition monitoring, shutdown, and reliability programs to maximise asset life and minimise unplanned downtime.
- Manage maintenance budgets, workforce planning, contractor performance, and critical spare parts inventory to ensure effective utilisation of resources and achievement of business objectives
- Ensure compliance with all statutory, safety, environmental, and company requirements, fostering a strong safety culture and maintaining adherence to the Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations and site standards.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and development for maintenance personnel, driving continuous improvement, operational excellence, and collaboration between maintenance, operations, technical services, and project teams.
About You
- Proven leadership experience in managing maintenance teams within a gold processing plant or similar heavy industrial environment, with a demonstrated ability to improve safety, reliability, and asset performance.
- Strong knowledge of fixed plant equipment including crushing, grinding (SAG/ball mills), conveyors, pumps, thickeners, CIL circuits, gold room equipment, power generation, and associated infrastructure.
- Demonstrated experience in maintenance planning, shutdown management, reliability engineering, asset management principles, and continuous improvement methodologies to optimise plant availability and maintenance costs.
- Sound understanding of Western Australian mining legislation, Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations, risk management processes, statutory compliance requirements, and contractor management.
- Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical, Electrical, Maintenance, or Asset Management disciplines, supported by strong commercial acumen, budgeting experience, and proficiency in CMMS systems such as Pronto.
