In this role you will support the business across property, leasing, compliance and commercial administration functions. This Queensland organisation operates an extensive portfolio of hotels, pubs and retail liquor sites and continues to experience significant growth through acquisitions and expansion.

This role would suit someone who enjoys working across both commercial and operational matters and is excited by the opportunity to help build structure, systems and processes within a growing business.

The Role

Reporting to the CEO and senior leadership, responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing and managing retail lease documentation
  • Reviewing contracts for the purchase of land and buildings
  • Assisting with the review of commercial lease terms
  • Coordinating and organising property-related documentation and compliance records
  • Assisting with the creation and maintenance of a centralised property shared drive/data room
  • Supporting the business to improve property compliance, governance and document management processes
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders and external parties where required
  • Assisting with ad hoc commercial and property administration projects

About You

To be successful, you will ideally possess:

  • Previous legal experience within leasing, property, commercial contracts and compliance
  • Strong attention to detail and document management capability
  • The ability to review and interpret contracts and lease documentation
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A proactive and adaptable approach
  • The ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
