Cabrini Health is seeking an organised, proactive and collaborative Staffing Allocations Clerk to support efficient and safe staffing across our hospital. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys working closely with clinical leaders to ensure high-quality patient care.
About the Role
The Staffing Allocations Clerk plays a vital role in ensuring our clinical areas are appropriately staffed to meet daily operational demands. You will be responsible for coordinating Nurse Bank and Pool staffing, responding to staffing requests, managing agency engagements, and maintaining accurate systems and documentation.
Working closely with the Hospital Coordinator and reporting to the Clinical Services Director – Clinical Operations, you will support the smooth and safe delivery of care across Cabrini Malvern.
Key Responsibilities
Receive, document and action contingency staffing requests from clinical areas
Allocate Nurse Bank, Nursing Pool and ward redeployment based on roster needs
Liaise with nursing agencies when internal cover cannot be provided
Ensure accuracy of staffing systems including UKG (Dimensions) and ShiftMatch
Maintain shift records, data and documentation as per Cabrini procedures
Coordinate onboarding schedules for new Nurse Bank & Pool staff
Manage inbound and outbound calls, providing timely and professional communication

About You
We are looking for someone who is organised, calm under pressure, and excellent at communication.
You will bring
Strong clerical and administrative skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
Experience managing or operating databases and/or staffing systems
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively
A customer-focused approach with a commitment to high-quality service
Ability to maintain confidentiality and work within professional boundaries
