As part of our growth initiative, we are looking to hire a Commissioning Manager to plan, coordinate, and oversee offsite and onsite commissioning activities for complex medium voltage and low voltage electrical systems. This will include multi product prefabricated solutions and loose product packages with a primary focus on data center applications.
This role will act as the central coordination and governance point across internal teams, factories, subcontractors, and customers to ensure all systems are commissioned safely, efficiently, and in line with project requirements.
Key Duties
- Ensures seamless integration between factory-tested modules and on-site systems, driving successful testing, validation, and handover outcomes while maintaining alignment with project schedules, technical standards, and customer expectations within the project budget
- Develop commissioning strategies, plans, and schedules for prefabricated and integrated solutions.
- Define commissioning scope, roles, responsibilities, and deliverables across all stakeholders.
- Establish commissioning frameworks covering FAT, SAT, and integrated system testing (IST).
- Facilitate commissioning meetings, progress reviews, and issue resolution forums.
- Liaise with client representatives and independent commissioning agents (CxA) to ensure alignment.
- Coordinate commissioning of prefabricated/modular systems from factory through to site integration.
- Ensure factory-tested modules are validated, documented, and seamlessly integrated on-site.
- Oversee execution of commissioning activities performed by internal teams, OEM specialists, or subcontractors.
- Ensure proper sequencing and readiness for testing activities without directly performing tests.
- Monitor progress, quality, and adherence to commissioning plans and schedules.
- Ensure commissioning activities comply with specifications, standards, and contractual requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of experience electrical project delivery, commissioning coordination, or systems integration roles.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating commissioning on complex, multi-system projects (e.g., data centres, utilities, infrastructure).
- Experience working with prefabricated/modular or integrated solutions is highly desirable.
- Electrical trade qualification. Licensed electrician.
- Strong understanding of MV/LV systems, UPS, switchgear, protection systems, and control systems.
- Familiarity with commissioning processes (FAT, SAT, IST), without necessarily being hands-on.
