About The Role

Business Development Manager – Home Electrification (6-month contract)

The Business Development Manager (BDM) plays a key role in powering the growth of AGL’s Home Electrification Flex products through a high-performing network of third-party partners.

Reporting to the Product Lead, Home Electrification, you’ll be responsible for building and activating a diverse ecosystem of installation and industry partners across key electrification moments — including solar, batteries, hot water, and broader home upgrade solutions.

You’ll work closely with partners to embed AGL’s offers into their customer journeys, drive adoption of Flex Plans, and unlock growth through targeted enablement, incentives, and ongoing relationship management.

This role is central to AGL’s third-party sales strategy, with a strong focus on partner acquisition, channel growth, and sustained performance. Rather than engaging directly with end customers, you’ll scale impact by enabling our partners to succeed.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Build and grow AGL’s partner network by identifying and onboarding installers, builders, and industry partners
  • Manage the end‑to‑end partner journey, providing onboarding, training, and ongoing support
  • Work closely with partners to embed AGL offers into their sales processes and drive adoption
  • Monitor partner performance and share insights to support continuous improvement and growth
  • Capture partner feedback to identify opportunities to enhance processes, tools, and overall experience

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience in business development, partnerships or channel sales roles
  • Demonstrated success in acquiring, onboarding and scaling third-party or reseller networks
  • Experience working with installers, trades or energy-adjacent industries (solar, batteries, home electrification preferred
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience coordinating contract negotiations
  • Confident stakeholder manager, able to build trust with partners and cross functional internal teams
  • Highly organised, outcome focused and comfortable operating in a build and scale environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to deliver clear partner training and presentations
  • Experience using CRM tools to manage pipeline, performance and reporting

What’s in it for you?

  • Play a key role in shaping AGL’s electrification future and contributing to a high-impact growth area
  • Gain exposure to product, partnerships and commercial strategy in a fast-evolving market
  • Build your capability in partner acquisition, stakeholder management and channel growth
  • Work across a broad ecosystem of industry partners, expanding your network and influence
  • Be part of a collaborative, forward-thinking team focused on innovation and sustainable outcomes
