Construction is now well underway for our new Sydney Chilled and Fresh Distribution Center (SC&F). Located in Eastern Creek NSW SC&F is the latest distribution centre being added to the Primary Connect Network. The 75,000sqm multi-story facility will transform our chilled and fresh operations in Sydney, ensuring we deliver exceptional freshness, quality and range to our customers.

What You’ll Do

  • Plan and optimise daily transport routes and load configurations for the Sydney Basin and regional routes, balancing efficiency with strict timeline.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for external transport partners (e.g. Toll, RFT, Bonaccord, Lineage), keeping everyone aligned on capacity and daily requirements on routes/load for 235 supermarkets and metro stores.
  • Champion Chain of Responsibility and cold chain integrity across every load.
  • Use our Transport Management System and telematics (Coretex 360) to plan loads, track compliance, and stay ahead of issues like cold chain or safety alerts
  • Adhere to strict service level agreements to prevent impacts on DCs and stores.
  • Problem-solve on the fly — investigate and resolve service, cost, or safety issues as they come up.
  • Build strong working relationships with the Transport Supervisor, DC teams and transport carriers to meet our On-Time-Delivery targets.

What You’ll Bring

  • Exceptional time management skills and be able to work to strict service level agreement to ensure no impact to DCs and stores.
  • Transport and logistics or Supply Chain experience in ideally similar fast paced environments
  • Excellent knowledge of the Sydney metropolitan area, suburbs and road networks in the region
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Understanding of transport regulations, Chain of Responsibility (CoR) e.g. driver fatigue management, cold chain handling procedures
  • Intermediate computer skills - Google, Excel, Word
  • Flexibility to work on 4 days on / 3 days off rotating roster including weekends
