As a key member of our Senior Management team and reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the GM of Operations (VIC) is a strategic leadership position designed for someone who doesn’t just understand the aged care sector — but lives and breathes it. In This Role, You Will Be

  • Acting as an effective support conduit between on-site Residential Managers, other General Managers and Support Service functions.
  • Leading a team of Residential Managers and supporting them to achieve their goals
  • Leading change accross your sites
  • Driving residential compliance such as Strengthened Standards, WHS and Food Safety Standards
  • Leading projects / Support sites throughout the regions
  • Consistently demonstrating and role-modelling a high performance, outcome-focused approach
  • Maximising occupancy levels
  • Maximising revenue (AN-ACC) and managing costs
  • Setting and sustaining a strong, valuesled culture across a multisite portfolio
  • Assisting with commissioning new residential aged care homes and/or integrating acquired sites into an existing portfolio
  • Developing and maintaining an effective, empowered and efficient team to meet the key result areas of the For Purpose Aged Care strategic plan.

What You Will Bring To This Role

  • Experience in a similar multi-site role
  • Residential Management experience in the aged care industry and familiarity with the regulatory framework
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of contemporary issues impacting the aged care sector
  • Highly developed leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to train, mentor and coach staff
  • Strong planning, time management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise.
  • High level interpersonal, written, presentation and negotiation skills including ability to liaise and negotiate with key stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to embrace technology
  • Current AHPRA registration (RN) (ideal but not essential)
