Senior Associate - Family Lawyer

Unified Lawyers

Practice Family Law. Leave the Rest to Us.

If you're a capable Senior Associate wondering what the next real step in your career looks like, this role has been designed with you in mind.

You've built strong technical expertise, earned the trust of your clients and successfully managed your own matters. Now you're looking for:

  • More complex, high-quality work

  • A clearer pathway for progression

  • A firm where you can focus on practicing law, not everything around it

If that resonates, we'd like to speak with you.

About Unified Lawyers

Unified Lawyers is Australia's largest and fastest-growing specialist family law firm.

Family law is all we do.

Our lawyers regularly work on complex parenting disputes, high-net-worth property matters, family violence proceedings and matters involving international asset structures.

As we continue to expand nationally, we are looking to appoint a Senior Associate to join our growing team.

Why Join Us?

Most family lawyers didn't enter the profession to spend their time generating work, chasing invoices or dealing with administrative burdens.

We've built a structure that allows our lawyers to focus on legal work while our support teams take care of the rest.

This includes

A dedicated Client Care Team managing enquiries, consultations and client onboarding

  • Strong administrative and accounts support

  • A consistent pipeline of quality matters

  • No expectation to build your own practice from scratch

You'll spend your time doing what you're trained to do: practice family law at a high level.

A True Specialist Family Law Firm

Unlike firms where family law sits within a broader practice, our entire business is built around it.

This means you'll benefit from

  • Working alongside specialist family lawyers

  • Exposure to complex and rewarding matters

  • Systems and processes designed specifically for family law

  • Continuous development of your technical expertise

Career Progression That Matches Your Goals

We recognise that not every Senior Associate wants the same career path.

Whether your goal is to:

  • Deepen your technical expertise

  • Work towards Specialist Accreditation in Family Law

  • Develop leadership capability

  • Progress towards Special Counsel or Partnership

  • Continue building your practice within a specialist environment

You'll be supported to build a career aligned with your ambitions.

Our continued growth is creating genuine progression opportunities for lawyers who want to take the next step when the time is right.

  • Collaborate with experienced practitioners, barristers and external professionals
