Era Advisory is looking for up to two Planner/Senior Planner candidates to join our growing team of planning, approvals, engagement and strategy specialists.
The positions are suited to people with approximately three to seven years’ experience who are ready to take on meaningful work with likeminded colleagues and clients. You’ll be part of a cross-disciplinary team working on projects that shape Tasmania’s future.
What you'll do
- Assist with statutory and strategic planning projects across a diverse range of sectors and locations
- Prepare planning assessments, reports, submissions, proposals, and client advice
- Help navigate Tasmanian planning approval pathways with clarity, judgement, and care
- Work collaboratively across our planning, approvals, engagement, environmental, and strategy teams to deliver integrated project outcomes
- Build strong working relationships with clients, consultants, councils, and project teams
- Contribute to a positive, supportive team culture
What you'll bring
- An accredited tertiary qualification in urban and regional planning
- Approximately three to seven years’ professional planning experience in local government, state government, or private practice
- Eligibility for membership of the Planning Institute of Australia
- Sound working knowledge of statutory and strategic planning processes, preferably within Tasmania or a comparable jurisdiction
- Strong written communication skills and the ability to turn complex planning matters into clear, practical advice
- A collaborative mindset, sound judgement, and a commitment to quality
