Reports To: National Manager – Asset Management
The Opportunity
Aveo has an opportunity for an Asset & Refurbishment Project Manager to oversee unit refurbishments as well as CAPEX projects across a portfolio of our Sydney retirement communities. You will coordinate unit refurbishment works prior to resident entry, working closely with contractors and internal stakeholders, and ensuring homes and any community facility upgrades are delivered to a high standard, on time and within budget.
Your Impact
- Manage and deliver reinstatement and refurbishment projects across vacating units and apartments to achieve the best outcome for Aveo and residents
- Manage internal and external repair works and planned CAPEX projects to communal facilities as per the 2026 programme
- Work closely with builders, contractors, Sales teams and Community Operations to support smooth project delivery
- Ensure refurbishment timeframes are met so homes are ready for market
- Contribute to maintaining quality standards, cost control and consistent delivery outcomes
- Conduct site visits to monitor project progress, safety and quality and update project information within CRM systems
- Provide day-to-day support and updates to community operations teams on refurbishment activities
- Complete administrative processes including purchase orders, work approvals, business cases, tender coordination and project tracking
What You'll Bring
- Demonstrated experience in project management, facilities management, asset management or similar roles within a commercial or residential setting
- Experience working with contractors and supporting the delivery of building, renovation or refurbishment works
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with on-site operational teams
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Competent with Microsoft Office; experience with project or CRM systems is desirable
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes
- A building, construction or project-related qualification (desirable but not essential)
