The Role

  • Lead the design, build, and embedding of Lumi's Enterprise Risk Management Framework including risk taxonomy and assisting the front line with appetite statements, KRI design, risk registers, reporting cadence, and integration with the Risk Committee and Board.
  • Provide strategic oversight of Fraud and AML/CTF risks across the business, ensuring frameworks remain current, effective, and appropriately embedded in operations.
  • Design and execute a risk-based internal assurance program, supporting first line leaders with control testing, risk assessments, and findings management across key operational and strategic risk areas.
  • Serve as a key advisor and touchpoint for senior leaders across Commercial, Credit, Product, Technology, and Operations, providing expert guidance on navigating risk and compliance requirements.
  • Develop and deliver high-quality, insightful risk reporting for the Risk Committee and other senior stakeholders.
  • Act as Secretary to the Board Risk Committee. Owning agenda preparation, board paper coordination, minutes, and action tracking.
  • Manage and mentor team members providing structured development support and clear escalation pathways.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across the business to foster a proactive, embedded risk culture.
  • Contribute to Lumi's strategic regulatory roadmap.

Qualifications

This Person Is Someone With…

  • Proven experience in a senior enterprise risk management or compliance role, preferably within the financial services or fintech industry.
  • Exposure to AML/CTF regulations and managing fraud risks is beneficial.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting internal audits, risk assessments, and control testing.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and advise senior leadership.
  • Experience in producing high-quality reports and presentations for board-level committees.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and organisational skills with high attention to detail.

  • A proactive, self-starting attitude with the ability to work autonomously and drive initiatives forward.
