As a People & Capability Manager at Adelaide Remand Centre, you'll partner closely with leaders to deliver people strategies that strengthen culture, capability and business performance. You'll act as a trusted advisor across a broad range of people matters, helping leaders navigate complex workforce challenges while supporting organisational growth and transformation. Working within a collaborative P&C team, you'll play an important role in creating a high-performing, inclusive and engaged workplace where people can thrive.

As a People & Capability Manager in the Adelaide Remand Centre team, you’ll make a positive impact by:

  • Advising leaders on employee relations, performance and workplace matters.
  • Partnering with managers to deliver workforce planning and people initiatives.
  • Supporting investigations, grievances, disciplinary processes and case management.
  • Coaching leaders to build capability, confidence and high-performing teams.
  • Collaborating with specialist teams to embed talent, learning and engagement programs.
  • Using workforce insights and people data to support informed decision-making.

  • Experience in a senior HR or P&C advisory role.
  • Strong employee and industrial relations experience within a unionised environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex workplace investigations and employee matters.
  • Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation and workplace relations frameworks.
  • Experience partnering with leaders to deliver people-focused business outcomes.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
