Salary: $130k–$140k base + super + bonus

Design & Build Recruitment is collaborating with a renewable energy developer to expand their grid connection engineering team, focusing on utility-scale solar and BESS projects throughout Australia.

This is a perfect opportunity for a Power Systems Engineer with a couple of years of experience who is looking to advance their career within a developer environment and gain hands-on experience with grid connection on actual renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities as the Grid Connection Engineer

• Support grid connection activities across utility-scale solar and BESS projects
• Assist with power system studies and technical assessments
• Support GPS and connection application processes
• Work closely with AEMO, NSPs, consultants and internal stakeholders
• Contribute to technical documentation and project delivery activities

About You

• 2+ years of experience within the Australian energy market
• Exposure to grid connection or power systems engineering
• Experience using PSCAD and/or PSSE
• Understanding of the NEM and NER frameworks
• Engineering degree qualifications
