About The Role
Join the Royal Melbourne Hospital as a Grade 2 Casual Dietitian and become part of our Clinical Nutrition team, delivering high-quality, patient-centred nutrition care across acute, subacute and home-based services.
Working across a diverse range of clinical areas, you'll provide evidence-based dietetic care while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve the best outcomes for patients. Clinical allocation will be tailored to your skills and experience. These casual positions are based across our City and Royal Park campuses in Parkville and may include occasional weekend shifts.
Key Accountabilities
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nutrition assessment and intervention across acute, subacute and home-based care settings.
- Provide patient-centred care while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve the best outcomes.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and support the ongoing development of clinical nutrition services.
- Develop and deliver patient education resources and promote evidence-based dietetic practice.
- Support the supervision and education of student dietitians and provide guidance to Grade 1 dietitians and Allied Health Assistants where required.
- Maintain professional standards, legislative compliance and ethical practice in accordance with Dietitians Australia and organisational requirements.
- Utilise electronic medical records and other clinical systems to accurately document and manage patient care.
- Support the operational needs of the Clinical Nutrition service, including participation in an occasional weekend roster.
About You
- You are a motivate and adaptable clinician who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
- You are available to start immediately and work minimum 4 days per week up to full time hours for a period of 6-8 weeks
- You have a minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience in a tertiary hospital setting
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a team-based model of care
- You have excellent communication and organisation skills and are committed to ongoing professional development
- Experience with EPIC and CBORD systems is advantageous
- Eligibility for membership of DA/APD
