Job Description
- Lead and manage the end‑to‑end finance function, including financial accounting, reporting, payroll, cash flow, and overall financial operations.
- Deliver accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to executive leadership, Board, and relevant committees.
- Own the budgeting cycle, including development of operating and capital budgets, forecasting, and ongoing variance analysis.
- Ensure full compliance with statutory, regulatory, and funding requirements, including audit readiness and financial controls.
- Oversee financial systems, data integrity, and process improvements, including driving digital transformation and analytics capability.
- Provide financial leadership and advice to senior stakeholders, supporting strategic planning, policy development, and decision-making.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks while maintaining strong internal controls and governance frameworks.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring capability uplift across the function.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance operations, including efficiency gains, system upgrades, and enhanced reporting quality.
The Successful Applicant
A Successful Finance Manager Should Have
- CPA or CA Qualified.
- Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards, statutory reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.
- Experience managing financial systems, with a focus on improving processes and leveraging technology and data analytics.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to provide strategic financial insights to senior stakeholders.
- A proactive approach to identifying and mitigating financial risks, with a focus on governance and internal controls.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage across all levels of the organisation.
- A continuous improvement mindset, with a track record of driving efficiencies and enhancing financial operations.
