Role Purpose

The newly created role of Senior Business Development Representative responsible for driving new business growth by identifying, engaging, and converting prospective clients for the company’s software solutions. This role focuses on building a strong sales pipeline, developing customer relationships, and contributing to overall revenue targets in the Australian market, positioning the company as a market leader in energy solutions.

You will have a strong understanding of energy markets, energy trading fundamentals, comfortable with technology and solutions, with a proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.

  • Proven sales hunter with a strong track record in the energy sector
  • Comfortable navigating the NEM, WEM and Australian Gas markets like a pro
  • Solid grasp of energy trading, regulation, risk and what keeps retailers and generators up at night
  • Hands-on experience with ETRM, bidding platforms, and CRM tools such as HubSpot or Salesforce
  • Natural relationship builder with sharp negotiation skills and the confidence to influence decision-makers
  • Proactive, results-driven team player who loves exceeding targets and turning strategy into real growth

Job Responsibilities

  • Own the pipeline from the first hello to the signed deal by building and managing relationships across energy retailers and generators
  • Generate leads by hunting down new opportunities through prospecting, networking, and creative outbound strategies
  • Turn market insights, trends and your ETRM knowledge into revenue growth and market expansion
  • Be the face of the business at demos, conferences and events - bring the Energy One solutions to life for customers
  • Partner closely with product and engineering teams to shape solutions that truly meet market needs
  • Run the full sales lifecycle like a pro - from pitch and demo through to proposal, negotiation and closing the deal
