We are inviting expressions of interest for Legal Assistants based in our Melbourne office.
This is a client facing role providing administrative and legal support to our lawyers. The role is not aligned to a particular practice group at this stage, and further details regarding team placement will be discussed with shortlisted candidates.
Responsibilities include diary and inbox management, travel coordination, preparing and proofreading correspondence and documents, assisting with electronic court filings, document management, stakeholder liaison, and managing the billing life cycle. You will manage competing priorities across multiple matters and deadlines.
We are seeking candidates with significant prior experience as a legal assistant or legal secretary, with an understanding of legal processes across federal and state jurisdictions. You will be exceptionally organised, detail oriented, and a strong communicator with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, document management systems, and legal practice management software. Experience with electronic court filing systems will be highly regarded.
