About The Role
Reporting to the Underground Shift Supervisor, you'll operate modern jumbo drilling equipment while leading safe and productive underground development activities. You'll work closely with the wider mining team to deliver development targets while maintaining the highest standards of safety and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Operating underground jumbo drilling equipment
- Installing ground support in accordance with mine plans
- Drilling development headings to design specifications
- Supporting underground services and development activities
- Leading by example in workplace safety and hazard management
- Completing operational documentation and reporting
- Working collaboratively with technical and production teams to achieve development targets
About You
We're looking for experienced underground mining professionals who possess:
- Minimum 5 years' experience operating underground jumbo equipment
- Experience within underground hard rock, metalliferous or tunnelling operations
- Strong commitment to safe work practices
- Ability to mentor and work effectively within a small crew
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Current manual driver's licence
- Jumbo operating certification
- First Aid Certificate (preferred)
