Fusion5 is looking for a Business Central Technical Consultant to join our growing Australian practice across Sydney, Melbourne, or Brisbane. You'll be part of a close-knit, collaborative team working on interesting implementations across some of Australia's most respected organisations, mentored by some of the most experienced Business Central consultants in the region.

This is a role for someone who leads from the front. You will:

  • Configure, develop, and deliver Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central solutions end-to-end from documentation through to deployment
  • Work with clients to gather and understand business requirements, clarify ambiguities, and translate them into optimal technical solutions
  • Take ownership of technical solution delivery across the full software development lifecycle
  • Develop and maintain customisations using AL Language, including source control via Git branching, branch security, and pull/merge requests
  • Leverage agentic development tools including GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar to drive efficiency and quality
  • Support pre-sales and proposals, contributing your technical expertise to help shape winning solutions
  • Provide training and conduct workshops for client stakeholders and end users
  • Contribute to a learning environment sharing knowledge, supporting peers, and raising the standard of the team around you

Strong command of AL Language and the full SDLC

  • Experience with Git-based source control including branching strategies and pull/merge requests
  • Experience working in a professional services or consulting environment
  • Strong communication skills, able to engage confidently at all levels, from technical teams to business stakeholders
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to project-driven milestones
  • Desirable: Power Apps and Power Automate experience
  • Desirable: Experience with automated testing in AL Language including TestPage and TestHandler logic
  • Desirable: Familiarity with CI/CD processes in AL, automated testing, builds, and deployments
  • Desirable: MB-800 or MB-820 Microsoft certifications
