IQVIA is seeking a highly motivated
Associate Consultant to join our Real World Evidence (RWE) team. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of consulting, analytics, and healthcare innovation, supporting leading pharmaceutical and healthcare clients.
In this role, you will contribute to the design and delivery of RWE studies, helping clients generate meaningful insights that inform better healthcare decisions. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, supporting multiple projects while developing your consulting and technical skill set.
You’ll work closely with experienced Consultants, Project Managers, and Principals who will support your professional development and growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day management of multiple observational and real-world evidence studies with guidance from the Consultant and Principal in charge. Involvement spans the entire study lifecycle, from inception to results dissemination.
- Develop broad knowledge of consulting methodologies and the pharmaceutical market through consulting engagements and participation in formal and informal learning opportunities.
- Assist with study design and development of study proposals in response to client needs, under the guidance of team principals.
- Support day-to-day client consultation and management, distilling complex information and communicating strategic updates in a client-ready fashion.
- Manage project plans and workstreams of reasonable size with senior support, ensuring projects remain on time and within budget. Proactively highlight issues and next steps for the Project Manager and team to keep projects on track.
- Perform quantitative or qualitative analysis to assist in identifying client issues and developing client deliverables.
- Create presentations for clients with some senior support.
- Attend, support, and present at client meetings with senior support.
- Participate in wider thought leadership exercises within the industry, including webinars, white papers, and conferences.
- Support team development through internal initiatives and development projects.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences (preferred). Candidates with degrees in economics or business, combined with healthcare/pharmaceutical experience, are also encouraged to apply
- Postgraduate qualifications in epidemiology or biostatistics are advantageous
- PhD candidates with limited industry experience will be considered
- 1–3 years of relevant experience (consulting, healthcare, pharma, or analytics)
- Strong interest in the healthcare and life sciences sector
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability with strong analytical and numerical skills
- Solid business acumen and understanding of client-focused environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset
- Exposure to analytical tools/programming languages (e.g., R, SAS, Python) is desirable but not essential
- Highly adaptable, with the ability to learn quickly and perform in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel as required
- Full time permanent working rights in Australia
