Troocoo

Troocoo is pleased to be partnering with Centacare on the appointment of an Executive Support Officer.

Centacare exists to support people who support others. Guided by strong values and a deep commitment to community across Queensland, it is a place where the work genuinely matters.

We are seeking an experienced Executive Support Officer to work closely with the Chief Financial Officer and Director of Quality, Risk, Governance and Compliance. This role suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, builds trusted relationships with senior leaders and brings both structure and initiative to everything they do.

The role

Reporting to two senior leaders, you will act as a trusted partner at the executive level, enabling effective leadership through strong organisation, sound judgement and consistent follow-through.

This role goes beyond coordination. You will help establish and maintain the executive operating rhythm, ensure actions are captured and progressed, and keep both directors well prepared for board, leadership and stakeholder engagements. Given the breadth and pace of work across both portfolios, this person will need to be proactive, outcomes-focused and comfortable driving things forward.

This is a full-time office-based role. Centacare is a flexible and people-focused organisation, and this role benefits from strong onsite presence, connection and visibility.

What Is Important In This Role

  • Building trust through discretion, reliability and good judgement
  • A calm and considered approach in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Confidence making decisions and knowing when to escalate
  • The ability to manage two working styles and shifting priorities with ease
  • Strong technology capability and comfort working with systems and processes
  • An understanding of complex organisations and the pressures senior leaders experience

Key responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality executive support to the CFO and Director of Quality, Risk, Governance and Compliance
  • Anticipate needs and proactively prepare directors for meetings, board engagements and key deliverables
  • Capture actions and ensure consistent follow-up across both portfolios
  • Prepare executive briefings, reports, board papers and correspondence
  • Drive coordination across teams to ensure actions land and timelines are met
  • Manage diaries, correspondence and competing priorities with accuracy and professionalism
  • Act as a central coordination point across a broad and complex internal and external stakeholder group
  • Use Microsoft tools including Teams, SharePoint, OneNote and task tracking systems to support effective ways of working

About you

You are an experienced executive support professional who brings warmth, professionalism and structure to your work. You are comfortable operating at pace, in confidential environments, and enjoy supporting senior leaders to focus on what matters most.

You will bring

  • Demonstrated experience supporting a C-suite executive or senior leader in a complex organisation
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and high-volume workloads with accuracy
  • Experience preparing high-quality executive documentation including board papers, briefings and reports
  • Strong organisation, prioritisation and follow-through
  • High levels of discretion, emotional intelligence and professionalism
  • The ability to build rapport quickly and influence outcomes across all levels of an organisation
  • Genuine alignment to purpose and values-led work

Why this role

This is a trusted and visible role working closely with two senior leaders at Centacare during an exciting period of growth and transformation. You will play an important part in supporting leadership effectiveness and enabling services that make a real difference every day. Centacare offers salary packaging benefits, leave loading and a genuine commitment to its people.
