About The Role
AEMO’s Digital Division is accountable to operate, maintain and deliver digital capabilities. This includes technology foresight, plans, delivery of digital change, operation of AEMO’s Energy Markets and key internal stakeholder engagement. As part of the Digital Division, Enterprise Application Services (EAS) holds the accountability of successful management of AEMO’s critical IT applications. Our responsibilities extend to both Retail and Wholesale Solutions in which EAS design, develop, test, deliver and support NEM, MSATS, eMDM, DWGM, STTM, GSH and GBB.
You will provide Application Support by maintaining, operating, uplifting, scaling and developing resilient processes ensuring that AEMO’s Energy Market Systems are reliable, supportable and available. This will include technology upgrades and market-driven projects.
This is a six-month Fixed Term Contract, that can be based in multiple locations.
What You Will Be Doing
- Plan Operational, Maintenance and Upgrade activities on AEMO’s Energy Market Systems.
- Adapt support of AEMO’s Energy Market Pre-Production and Production Application Systems, adjusting the workflow or sequencing as the day unfolds, anticipating and considering new problems and priorities.
- Take ownership of processes and results during both business and after hours (during On call periods).
- Help and train others to ensure that standards are maintained and improved on a continuing basis by using both modern technologies and documenting processes that cannot be automated all the while doing so with a disciplined and repeatable approach.
- Consider the consequences for stakeholders before committing to decisions. Undertake both formal and informal risk assessments where there is potential impact to Application Support processes and AEMO’s Energy Market Systems.
What You Will Bring To The Role
- Degree in Information Systems, Technology or relevant discipline
- Demonstrated experience supporting 24x7 Technology Systems.
- Demonstrated and have knowledge managing MS Windows, Azure or AKS.
- Experience in incident, problem, capacity and change management (ITIL desirable) and ability to maintain technical documentation.
- Demonstrated and have knowledge using CI/CD pipelines for deployment.
