Cement Australia

Build a Career That Matters

You’re driven and ambitious, and you want your first job out of university to mean something. At Cement Australia, we don’t just produce cement, we lay the foundations for a more sustainable future.

Our two-year Graduate Program is built for people who want more than a desk job. From day one you’ll be a valued team member, working on real projects, learning from industry experts, and building a career that’s both successful and sustainable.

Why Choose Our Graduate Program?

  • Real projects, real impact - get involved in projects that could include initiatives around automation, equipment upgrades and alternative fuels, alongside operational and safety improvements that matter.
  • Diverse experience across our sites - build your career at our operations across the country, from Railton (TAS) to Gladstone (QLD), Brisbane (QLD), Perth (WA) and beyond.
  • Structured learning and mentorship - grow through hands-on experience, formal training and one-on-one mentoring.
  • A national network - join a close-knit cohort of grads from across Australia and build connections early.
  • Competitive salary and perks - Competitive salary, employee discounts, EAP access and more.

The Opportunities

We’re taking on graduates across engineering, automation and supply chain for our 2027 program:

  • 2 x Mechanical Engineer - Railton, TAS
  • 1 x Electrical Engineer - Railton, TAS
  • 1 x Automation & Control Engineer - starting at Gladstone, QLD with a rotation to Railton, TAS

Whichever path you take, you won’t be tied to a desk. You’ll have daily interactions with engineers, specialists and trades personnel, all focussed on the safe and efficient operation of our plants, while rotating through different areas to build broad, practical experience.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re after curious, people-focused grads who like asking why. You’ll fit here if you’re:

  • Completing (or have recently completed) a Bachelor of Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics or a related discipline
  • Enjoy working as part of a team and building strong working relationships
  • Love solving complex problems and making sense of data
  • Resilient, proactive, and ready to step outside your comfort zone
  • Keen to grow, learn and take on new challenges
  • Open to relocating for the program (we’ll support you the whole way)

Hint: We want to know the real you. If you paste answers straight from an AI tool, you won’t stand out. Take a few extra minutes to make them yours. We don’t use AI to screen applications, and we’d love you to do the same.
