This is a unique opportunity to join one of Australia's leading universities in a highly visible enterprise-wide FP&A role.
Rather than partnering with a single business unit, this position sits at the centre of the University's financial planning function, ensuring financial plans from across the organisation align with the University's strategic objectives, long-term financial sustainability, and executive decision-making.
Reporting into the Head of FP&A, you'll work closely with Finance Business Partners and senior stakeholders across the University, challenging assumptions, consolidating financial plans, identifying enterprise-wide risks and opportunities, and providing insights that influence strategic investment decisions.
This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys operating at a strategic level, connecting the dots across a large and complex organisation, and influencing outcomes through high-quality financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the University's enterprise-wide budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes.
- Consolidate financial plans from multiple business units, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and financial objectives.
- Partner with Finance Business Partners to challenge assumptions and improve the quality of financial forecasts.
- Deliver insightful analysis, executive reporting and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Identify organisation-wide risks, trends and opportunities to support strategic decision making.
- Drive continuous improvement across FP&A processes, planning frameworks and financial modelling.
About You & What You'll Bring
- Significant experience within FP&A, commercial finance or strategic finance.
- Experience leading enterprise-wide budgeting and forecasting within a large, complex organisation.
- Strong financial modelling and analytical capability.
- The ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders in a collaborative manner.
- A commercial mindset with the ability to translate financial information into strategic insights.
- Experience within higher education, government or another large matrix organisation will be highly regarded.
