Our client is a specialist design services consultancy delivering high performance digital design solutions across ASIC, FPGA and SoC projects for leading technology companies. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Verification Engineer to join their team.
Although the business is headquartered in Adelaide, this position offers fully remote working for candidates based anywhere in Australia.
The Role As a Verification Engineer, you will play a key role in verifying complex digital designs from specification through to implementation. You'll collaborate closely with Design Engineers and customers on technically challenging projects across a variety of industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop verification strategies and verification plans.
- Create and maintain SystemVerilog/UVM-based verification environments.
- Develop testbenches, test cases and regression suites.
- Perform functional, code and assertion coverage analysis.
- Debug simulation failures and work closely with Design Engineers to resolve issues.
- Contribute to verification methodology improvements and best practices.
- Participate in design and code reviews.
About You
You will have experience in digital IC or FPGA verification and enjoy solving complex technical challenges in a collaborative environment.
Requirements
- Commercial experience as a Verification Engineer.
- Strong knowledge of SystemVerilog and UVM.
- Experience developing constrained-random verification environments.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with functional coverage and assertions.
- Familiarity with simulation tools such as Synopsys VCS, Siemens Questa or Cadence Xcelium.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote team.
Desirable
- Experience verifying ASIC or FPGA designs.
- Exposure to scripting languages such as Python, Perl or Tcl.
- Knowledge of industry-standard verification methodologies and CI/CD workflows.
