About The Role

As a Site Reliability Engineer in ANZ, you will apply SRE principles to ensure we monitor and measure what is important, you will automate our platforms and services for reliable operations at scale, including automation of our security and governance controls.

What will your day look like?

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will:

  • You will apply SRE principles to ensure that we build, monitor, and measure what is important.
  • You will work collaboratively with other SREs and teams across ANZ Plus to continually drive down the cost of operations, increase efficiency, and build a strong reliability culture.
  • You will need to be comfortable with learning new tools and techniques along with running proof of concept evaluations to keep us on the leading edge.
  • We expect you to be capable of providing feedback and suggestions on how to improve the platforms, processes, and tools you support.

What will you bring?

We are looking for an engineer that already possess some of the following skills:

  • Comfortable coding in one or more languages (Go, Java, Python, or other scripting languages).
  • Experience using Infrastructure as Code tools. For example, Terraform or CloudFomation.
  • Ability to design and implement cloud security, availability and reliability best practices
  • Proficient in cloud computing across one or more major public cloud providers. For example, GCP, AWS, or Azure.
  • Proficient with Kubernetes, or equivalent container orchestration tooling.
  • Experience working with operations and architecture groups developing scalable and supportable solutions
  • Experience with common monitoring and observability tooling. For example, Honeycomb, Splunk, Dynatrace, etc.
