Find your further with Ventia as an experienced Quality and Compliance Manager in our Defence Maintenance Contract where you will play a critical part in ensuring the contract meets all regulatory, contractual and internal quality standards. You will lead compliance frameworks, deliver audits, manage risk and drive continuous improvements across maintenance operations helping ensure excellence in service delivery and supporting Defence capability.
The role offers hybrid working conditions (working from home and sites across Australia with travel min 1 week a month), loads of ownership, job satisfaction and connection with defence personnel. About the Role
- Lead and manage quality assurance and compliance activities across the contract
- Plan, conduct and report on internal audits and spot checks
- Investigate and resolve customer feedback and complaints
- Manage export control and ITAR compliance risks
- Maintain quality management systems, documentation, and audit records
- Deliver training on quality, compliance, and continuous improvement practices
- Partner with stakeholders across Defence and internal teams to ensure compliance and performance standards are met
- Support sites with Technical Authority compliance and capability uplift
Required Skills and Experience
You are a detail-orientated and analytical professional with strong experience in quality management and auditing, ideally within a Defence or highly regulated environment (e.g. land maintenance background).
- Diploma / equivalent in Quality Management, Auditing or related
- Proven experience in planning and conducting audits
- Solid IT skills (S4 Hana, Microsoft suite)
- Auditing and compliance reporting
- Root cause analysis and issue resolution
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills
- High attention to detail and problem-solving capability
