We are partnering with a leading service provider to appoint an Asset Manager for a long‑term contract with genuine whole‑of‑life planning responsibility. This is a rare opportunity to step into a role where your work directly influences long‑term investment decisions, asset performance and community outcomes.
About the Role
You will lead lifecycle planning, condition assessments and annual delivery programs across a multi‑site portfolio, working closely with operational leaders and a small, autonomous team. The role offers a strong mix of strategic asset management, technical analysis and project delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing long‑term lifecycle strategies and asset plans
- Conducting detailed condition assessments across hard FM assets
- Scoping, tendering and delivering annual lifecycle works
- Managing asset registers and asset management databases
- Communicating risk, priorities and asset impacts to stakeholders
- Delivering asset maintenance management and compliance obligations
- Supporting feasibility studies and project recommendations
- Ensuring contractual KPIs, quality standards and performance‑based outcomes are achieved
- Contributing to internal and client reporting, including progress updates and technical documentation
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both strategic thinking and practical delivery, for someone who wants to see their planning translate into real outcomes on the ground.
About You
You will bring strong experience in asset management, facilities management or technical services, with the ability to balance long‑term planning with day‑to‑day delivery.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in lifecycle planning, condition assessments and project delivery
- Confident managing subcontractors, procurement processes and competing priorities
- Skilled in analysing asset condition data, backlog maintenance and compliance requirements
- Comfortable working autonomously and engaging with a wide range of stakeholders
- Strong in communication, reporting and influencing decision‑makers
- Comfortable with travel - including to one other state for short durations as required
Nice‑to‑have skills include
- Experience applying ISO 55000 principles
- Understanding of whole‑of‑life asset principles and legislation
- Ability to interpret budgets, financial data and performance reports
- Knowledge of building services, statutory obligations and WHS risk identification
- Experience working within performance‑based contract frameworks
