Content & Social Media Assistant

The Role
We are looking for a creative and organised Content & Social Media Assistant to support JET Charge’s content, social media and digital marketing activity.
This role supports the day-to-day creation, scheduling and publishing of content across JET Charge’s social media, website, email and internal channels. You will help produce clear, engaging and accurate content that supports campaign objectives, brand standards and JET Charge’s tone of voice.
You will work closely with the Content Lead and broader Marketing team to support written content, video content, social media activity, reporting and content optimisation.
This role will suit someone who enjoys creating content, understands how different channels work, and can balance creativity with consistency, organisation and attention to detail. It is well suited to a recent graduate or someone in their final year of university.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Creating, drafting and publishing content across social media, website, email and internal channels.
- Writing clear and engaging content, including social posts, blogs, email campaign copy and video scripts.
- Supporting the day-to-day management of JET Charge’s social media channels.
- Monitoring social media engagement and supporting community interactions.
- Identifying content ideas, trends and audience insights that support ongoing content activity.
- Producing and editing video content for marketing campaigns and always-on content.
- Adapting content for different channels, formats and audiences.
- Maintaining the content calendar and supporting a consistent publishing cadence.
- Tracking and reporting on content, campaign and social media performance.
- Contributing insights and recommendations that help improve future content activity.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience in content creation, social media, marketing, communications or a similar role.
- Strong writing skills and the ability to create clear, accurate and engaging content.
- Confidence creating content for social media, email, website or digital channels.
- Basic video production or editing skills, or a strong willingness to develop in this area.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage deadlines, content tasks and publishing requirements.
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow brand standards, tone of voice and campaign objectives.
- An understanding of social media platforms, audience engagement and content trends.
- Confidence using marketing, social media, scheduling or reporting tools.
- Curiosity, initiative and a willingness to contribute ideas to content planning.
- A collaborative working style and the ability to take feedback and turn it into stronger content.
