About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and people-focused manufacturing leader to lead our Coopers Plains and Townsville manufacturing sites. As part of the Vinidex Manufacturing Leadership Team, you will be responsible for driving a strong culture of safety, operational performance, quality, continuous improvement and commercial outcomes across our Northern Region manufacturing operations.
This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who is strategic, thrives on leading change, developing and mentoring high-performing teams, and improving manufacturing performance. You'll have the opportunity to drive efficiency initiatives, lead capital projects, strengthen site culture, and influence the future direction of the business.
What You Will Do
Lead manufacturing operations across Coopers Plains and Townsville to deliver strong safety, quality and operational outcomes.
Build a high-performance culture through visible leadership, coaching, and workforce engagement.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and embed Lean manufacturing principles across both sites.
Lead change management programs that improve productivity, efficiency and business performance.
Manage budgets, conversion costs, and capital investment projects to deliver commercial results.
Partner with Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain and Project teams to deliver strategic business outcomes.
Develop future leaders and build capability across the manufacturing function.
About You
You are a go getter who is proactive, a solutions-focused leader with a strategic mindset who can balance operational excellence with strong people leadership. You know how to build trust, and able to influence stakeholders, and successfully lead teams through change.
Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Business, or related discipline.
5-10 years of proven leadership experience within manufacturing environments, preferably FMCG, plastics, building products, industrial or heavy manufacturing.
Strong change management and continuous improvement experience with the ability to challenge the status quo and implement best practice.
Demonstrated success leading safety, quality and operational excellence initiatives.
Commercial and tech savvy, with demonstrated experienced managing budgets, costs and business performance.
The ability to identify opportunities, initiate and solve problems, and deliver sustainable operational improvements.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills, able to network and work collaboratively across the business to set your region up for success.
Experience leading large teams and/or multi-site operations.
Exposure to Industrial Relations and Enterprise Bargaining processes will be highly regarded.
